Gallery Midnight - Returns & Refunds Policy

We want you to love your artwork from Gallery Midnight. If something isn’t right, this policy explains your rights and how we handle returns, refunds, and exchanges in line with UK consumer law, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts Regulations.


1. Your Right to Cancel (UK Distance Selling Rules)

If you are a UK or EU customer, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving your items, without needing to give a reason.

To exercise this right, you must notify us in writing within the 14‑day period at: info@gallerymidnight.com

Once you notify us, you have 14 days to return the item(s).

Items excluded from cancellation

Under UK law, the right to cancel does not apply to:

  • Commissioned or personalised paintings made specifically for you
  • Made‑to‑order prints created specifically for you

If your item falls into one of these categories, it cannot be returned unless it is faulty.


2. Returns Eligibility

To be eligible for a return:

  • Items must be unused and in their original condition
  • Items must be returned in their original packaging (or equivalent protective packaging)
  • You must include proof of purchase

We reserve the right to refuse returns that do not meet these conditions.


3. How to Return an Item

We will provide the return address and instructions.

Return shipping

  • Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item is faulty or incorrect
  • We recommend using a tracked service to ensure safe delivery
  • We cannot refund items lost or damaged in transit

4. Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

If approved:

  • Refunds are issued to your original payment method
  • Refunds are processed within 7–10 working days
  • Original shipping costs are refunded only if the order was cancelled under the 14‑day cancellation period or the item was faulty

If rejected, we will contact you with an explanation.


5. Faulty or Damaged Items

If your item arrives damaged or faulty, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with:

  • Your order number
  • A description of the issue
  • Clear photos of the damage

We will arrange a replacement or refund at no cost to you.

This does not affect your statutory rights.


6. Exchanges

We currently do not offer direct exchanges. If you would like a different item, please return the original for a refund and place a new order.


7. Late or Missing Refunds

If you haven’t received your refund:

  • Check your bank account again
  • Contact your bank or card provider (processing times vary)
