Artwork Description
This large canvas bursts with colour: turquoise, coral, electric pink and golden yellow colliding across a layered cityscape where landmarks and lived experience intertwine. The Shard rises dramatically, Big Ben anchors the skyline alongside St Paul's Cathedral, Battersea Power Station and the London Eye. Aircraft streak overhead - British Airways, Concorde and the Red Arrows. At street level, a Borough Market trader stands behind his stall; a black cab glides through traffic; a Brompton bicycle rider cuts through the crowd. The London A–Z sits beside a modern smartphone. Cultural figures are threaded quietly through the scene. The 319 bus sign appears as a personal nod embedded in the composition. This is not London for tourists - it is London for those who live it.

Artist's Insight
I made this painting for Londoners, not visitors. The landmarks are all there - the Shard, Big Ben, the Eye - but they're just the backdrop. The real painting is the market trader who could be my Uncle Ted, the 319 bus sign, the cocktails being shaken in the middle of the frame. That was my job in London. Concorde is in there because it defined a certain era of what this city aspired to be. The Brompton bicycle is there because great British engineering deserves a moment. Every detail means something. The painting is essentially a love letter - personal, a bit chaotic, very London.
