The Wedding
by Johny Midnight
A private commission capturing every guest at a wedding outside a stone church - stances, hairdos, dresses, tuxedos and the interaction between friends. Something richer and more personal than a photograph.
Limited edition fine art prints, hand-signed and numbered by the artist. Once the edition is sold out, it will not be reproduced.

Artwork Description
A wedding commission: every guest caricatured and placed into one memorable gathering outside an old stone church. The bride stands in white at the centre, groom alongside, a small flower girl before them; around them, guests in black tie and coloured dresses form loose animated groups. The painting is fun and bright, almost mosaic in its handling of the figures - each person rendered with enough character to be recognised, but caught in the particular looseness of a real occasion. Two trees frame the church; a pale blue sky completes it. A day made permanent.

Artist's Insight
This is a private commission to remember someone's most important day. Yes, you can have your wedding photographs - but here I've tried to capture the stances, the hairdos, the dresses, the tuxedos, and the interaction between friends at a wedding, just to give you something different from the normal photograph. I can include all the people that come to your wedding, caricatured and put into one memorable moment. Fun, bright, almost mosaic in fashion. It's possible to commission this painting for your own wedding.
